CIRCULAR LETTER NO. 749

October 1, 2009

TO: Printing and Publishing Officials of the Federal Government

SUBJECT: Rider Orders for the United States Government Manual, 2009/2010 Edition, Revised October, 2009

The GPO is providing this Circular Letter to announce the opportunity to submit orders for the United States Government Manual, 2009/2010 edition, revised October, 2009. The Government Manual provides comprehensive information on the agencies of the Legislative, Judicial, and Executive Branches. It also includes information on quasi-official agencies; international organizations in which the United States participates; and Federal boards, commissions, and committees.

All requisitions (SF-1s) for the above product are due to the Government Printing Office no later than October 19, 2009. Be sure to indicate the number of copies needed for all of the activities in your organization and include the NARA requisition number (NARA10-GPO-NF00006) and GPO Jacket Number 220-554 on your requisitions.

The estimated rider rate for the 2009/2010 edition printed publication is $10 per copy. Please note that GPO will make every effort to include any orders (SF-1’s) received after the October 19th deadline in the original printing at rider rate pricing. However, due to the Government Manual production process and schedule, orders received late may be directed to the Superintendent of Documents for fulfillment at the higher post-production sales rates.

Rider rates apply to single destination, local delivery orders only. Mailing costs, if incurred, will comprise an additional charge. Field or regional activities should coordinate their requirements with their Washington, DC, area headquarters’ printing officers before submitting any paperwork.

Your requisitions should be forwarded to Official Journals of Government, OFR Publishing Services, Stop: OJG, Room A842, U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, DC, 20401, or fax to 1.888.579.5907, attn: US Government Manual. If you have any questions concerning the information contained in this Circular Letter, please contact OFR Publishing Services 202.512.2100.

Sincerely,

RICARDO GARCIA
Managing Director, Print Procurement
