SUBJECT: Re-award of the Government Printing Office (GPO) Online Paper Store Contract

The U.S. Government Printing Office is pleased to announce that, for the second time, Unisource Worldwide, Inc., has won the competitive solicitation as the contractor for the GPO Online Paper Store (OPS). The new contract term will begin on January 17, 2012 with new, lower prices and additional product offerings that will provide agencies with further cost savings and more choices. The OPS was launched in late 2007, and since then, all Federal Government organizations have been able to order xerographic copier paper throughout the continental United States using a 100 percent e-commerce system.

On January 17, 2012, the following changes will take effect:

• The average price for the program's most widely used item (20# white with 30-percent PCW) will decrease by approximately 14.5 percent.
• The average price for the program's most widely used item (20# white with 30-percent PCW) will decrease by approximately 14.5 percent.
• Three new virgin papers have been added to the catalog of available paper stocks.
• The requirement to order higher recycled content papers only by the pallet (multiples of 40 cartons) has been changed to allow these items to be ordered by the single carton.
