<legis-type>AN ACT</legis-type> 
<official-title display="yes">To designate the station of the United States Border Patrol located at 2136 South Naco Highway in Bisbee, Arizona, as the <quote><short-title>Brian A. Terry Border Patrol Station</short-title></quote>.</official-title>

<section id="HC49A5FDF801A468F839535B86B5E856E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Brian A. Terry Memorial Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section> 
<section id="H492F46AEBE084EADA80661F91AC21248"><enum>2.</enum><header>Findings</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Congress finds the following:</text> 
<paragraph id="H956C0B19D8404C32AE16E4C40D07D636"><enum>(1)</enum><text>A native of Flat Rock, Michigan, Agent Brian A. Terry served his country proudly with the United States Marine Corps and continued his service as a police officer with the cities of Ecorse and Lincoln Park, Michigan, prior to joining the United States Border Patrol.</text> </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H4C9EBC0045214BC0891158D0BBC8C5D0"><enum>(2)</enum><text>Agent Terry was a member of the 699th Session of the Border Patrol Academy assigned to the Naco Border Patrol Station within the Tucson Sector.</text> </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HAE8BCADC46394E1193BA8BD9D232BFC0"><enum>(3)</enum><text>On December 14, 2010, Border Patrol Agent Brian A. Terry was conducting a Border Patrol Tactical unit (BORTAC) operation in the area of <quote>Peck Wells</quote>.</text> </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HA269178133A64FE7A9F3A66EA7DAB8E0"><enum>(4)</enum><text>At 11:15 p.m., near Rio Rico, Arizona, and about 15 miles north of Nogales, Arizona, Agent Terry and his team spotted a group of individuals approaching their position.</text> </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HD770A507943241759730B5D03E0A916E"><enum>(5)</enum><text>Shortly thereafter, an encounter ensued and gunfire was exchanged that left Agent Terry mortally wounded.</text> </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HB91F24E642744B299B38B5969A4EF318"><enum>(6)</enum><text>Agent Terry succumbed to his injuries on December 15, 2010.</text> </paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HCF436B71EF664999BE0204454A638D32"><enum>(7)</enum><text>Agent Terry is survived by his mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, brother, and two sisters.</text> </paragraph></section> 
<section id="H1ACD96FC6ED04ABC97A5BECFEE0846AF" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>3.</enum><header>Designation</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The station of the United States Border Patrol located at 2136 South Naco Highway in Bisbee, Arizona, shall be known and designated as the <quote>Brian A. Terry Border Patrol Station</quote>.</text> </section> 
<section id="HA782431D310B4B2A8F551F5E19C45ABE"><enum>4.</enum><header>References</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Any reference in a law, map, regulation, document, paper, or other record of the United States to the station referred to in section 1 shall be deemed to be a reference to the <quote>Brian A. Terry Border Patrol Station</quote>.</text> </section>
