The Contracting Officer shall insert the clause at 2452.246-70, Inspection and Acceptance, in solicitations and contracts unless inspection and acceptance will be performed by someone other than the Government Technical Representative (GTR).

2446.710 Contract clauses.

(c)(1) The contracting officer may include a clause substantially the same as FAR 52.246-19, Warranty of Systems and Equipment under Performance Specifications or Design Criteria, whenever it is in the Government's interest.
