    <SECTNO>§ 1211.1-8</SECTNO>
    <SUBJECT>Time for preparation and presentation.</SUBJECT>
    <P>(a) Both a volunteer and a volunteer's representative, if another volunteer or an employee of ACTION, must be given a reasonable amount of administrative leave from their assignments to present a grievance or appeal.</P>
    <P>(b) ACTION will not pay travel expense or per diem travel allowances for either a volunteer or his or her representative in connection with the preparation of a grievance or appeal, except in connection with a hearing and the examination of the grievant file as provided in § 1211.1-12(c).</P>
