REPUBLICANS REFUSE TO DISCLOSE NAMES OF CONTRACT SIGNERS

(Ms. McKINNEY asked and was given permission to address the House for
1 minute and to revise and extend her remarks.)
Ms. McKINNEY. Mr. Speaker, this week the Republican Members and
candidates held a press conference to sign a contract with the
Republican leadership. But, guess what, Mr. Speaker, they will not
disclose the names of the people who signed it.
Mr. Speaker, we should not be surprised that Congressman Gingrich
will not tell us who signed the contract; Congressman Gingrich will not
even disclose the names of the people who pump millions of dollars into
his very political machine.
The American people deserve to know who wants to cut programs for
senior citizens. They deserve to know who endorses deep voo-doo
economics and they should know which candidates have already pledged
their souls to the Republican leadership before even one vote has been
cast.
