             RESIGNATION FROM THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

  The SPEAKER pro tempore laid before the House the following 
resignation from the House of Representatives:

     Governor Sonny Perdue of Georgia resigning my office of 
     United States Representative for the Ninth Congressional 
     District of Georgia, effective 11:45 p.m., March 21, 2010.
       It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the people of 
     Georgia.
