SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This is a request for a revision to the Supply and Service ICR, including revisions to the Scheduling Letter. The OFCCP Scheduling Letter is used to schedule Federal contractors and subcontractors for Compliance Evaluations in accordance with Executive Order 11246, as amended; section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended); and the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, as amended, 38 U.S.C. 4212. These mandates prohibit Federal contractors and subcontractors from discriminating on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or veterans' status. The OFCCP is revising the Scheduling Letter to reduce contractor burden and make Compliance Evaluations more efficient. This information collection is subject to the PRA. A Federal agency generally cannot conduct or sponsor a collection of information, and the public is generally not required to respond to an information collection, unless it is approved by the OMB under the PRA and displays a currently valid OMB Control Number. In addition, notwithstanding any other provisions of law, no person shall generally be subject to penalty for failing to comply with a collection of information if the collection of information does not display a valid OMB Control Number. See 5 CFR 1320.5(a) and 1320.6. The DOL obtains OMB approval for this information collection under OMB Control Number 1250-0003. The current OMB approval is scheduled to expire on September 30, 2011; however, it should be noted that existing information collection requirements submitted to the OMB receive a month-to-month extension while they undergo review. New or revised information collection requirements would only take effect after OMB approval.
