    The Defense Acquisition Regulations System has submitted to OMB for 
clearance, the following proposal for collection of information under 
the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. chapter 35).

    Number of Respondents: 10,625.
    Responses per Respondent: 1.95.
    Annual Responses: 20,765.
    Average Burden per Response: Approximately 0.87 hours.
    Annual Burden Hours: 18,135.
    Needs and Uses: DoD needs this information to account for 
Government property in the possession of contractors. Property 
administrators, contracting officers, and contractors use this 
information to maintain property records and material inspection, 
shipping, and receiving reports.
    Affected Public: Businesses or other for-profit and not-for- profit 
institutions.
    Frequency: On occasion.
    Respondent's Obligation: Required to obtain or maintain benefits.
