ACTION: Call for Proposals and Announcement of Meetings. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: The Kern and Tulare Counties Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) will be accepting applications for projects that may be recommended for funding under Title II of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self- Determination Act (Pub. L 110-343 as amended by H.R. 4348 ENR). The purpose of the committee is to improve collaborative relationships and to provide advice and recommendations to the Forest Service concerning projects and funding consistent with Title II of [[Page 43572]] the Act. The application and other information is available for download from the Secure Rural Schools Web site: http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/sequoia/projects/rural-schools/index.html and can be submitted electronically, by mail, or in person. DATES: Applications will be accepted electronically or by mail until September 6, 2012 or in person at the meetings to be held on August 23 and September 13, 2012. All meetings will begin at 5 p.m. ADDRESSES: The August 23, 2012 meeting will be held at the Sequoia National Forest Headquarters, 1839 South Newcomb Street, Porterville, California 93257. The September 13 meeting will be held at the 3rd floor conference room of the County of Kern Administrative Office, 1115 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California 93301. All applications, including names and addresses when provided, are placed in the record and are available for public inspection and copying.
