SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This ICR seeks OMB approval for the BLS to re-initiate a data collection on occupational employment and wages related to green technologies and practices used by U.S. businesses. The Green Technologies and Practices survey collects data on the use of green technologies and processes at establishments, and occupational employment and wages for employees who spend more than 50 percent of their time engaged in green practices. This special topic survey will be conducted occasionally to collect information on employees engaged in green technologies and practices, the second component of the BLS Green Jobs definition. This information collection is subject to the PRA. A Federal agency generally cannot conduct or sponsor a collection of information, and the public is generally not required to respond to an information collection, unless it is approved by the OMB under the PRA and displays a currently valid OMB Control Number. In addition, notwithstanding any other provisions of law, no person shall generally be subject to penalty for failing to comply with a collection of information if the collection of information does not display a valid Control Number.
