Agency Information Collection Activities: Requests for Comments; 
Clearance of Renewed Approval of Information Collection: Noise 
Certification Standards for Subsonic Jet Airplanes and Subsonic 
Transport Category Large Airplanes

AGENCY: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), DOT.

ACTION: Notice and request for comments.

SUMMARY: In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, FAA 
invites public comments about our intention to request the Office of 
Management and Budget (OMB) approval to renew an information 
collection. The information collected is needed for applicants' noise 
certification compliance reports in order to demonstrate compliance 
with 14 CFR Part 36.

DATES: Written comments should be submitted by July 19, 2013.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

    OMB Control Number: 2120-0659.
    Title: Noise Certification Standards for Subsonic Jet Airplanes and 
Subsonic Transport Category Large Airplanes.
    Form Numbers: There are no FAA forms associated with this 
collection of information.
    Type of Review: Renewal of an information collection.
    Background: The information collected is needed for applicants' 
noise certification compliance reports in order to demonstrate 
compliance with 14 CFR Part 36, which is implemented under the Aircraft 
Noise Abatement Act of 1968. An applicant's collected information is 
incorporated into a noise compliance report that is provided to and 
approved by the FAA. The noise compliance report is used by the FAA in 
making a finding that the airplane is in compliance with regulations.
    Respondents: Approximately 10 applicants annually.
    Frequency: Information is collected on occasion.
    Estimated Average Burden per Response: 135 hours.
    Estimated Total Annual Burden: 1,350 hours.

ways that the burden could be minimized without reducing the quality of 
the collected information. The agency will summarize and/or include 
your comments in the request for OMB's clearance of this information 
collection.
