SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This public meeting is being held under the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act of 1972 (5 U.S.C., Appendix, as amended), the Government in the Sunshine Act of 1976 (5 U.S.C. 552b, as amended), and 41 CFR 102-3.150. Purpose of the Meeting: At this meeting, the Panel will deliberate on the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013 (Pub. L. 112-239), Section 576(a)(1) requirement to conduct an independent review and assessment of the systems used to investigate, prosecute, and adjudicate crimes involving adult sexual assault and related offenses under 10 U.S.C. 920 (article 120 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice), for the purpose of developing recommendations regarding how to improve the effectiveness of such systems. The Panel is interested in written and oral comments from the public, including non-governmental organizations, relevant to this tasking. Oral presentations by members of the public will be permitted between 1:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. January 30, 2014 in front of the Panel. The number of oral presentations to be made will depend on the number of requests received from members of the public on a first-come basis.
