SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This public meeting is being held under the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act of 1972 (5 U.S.C., Appendix, as amended), the Government in the Sunshine Act of 1976 (5 U.S.C. 552b, as amended), and 41 CFR 102-3.150. Purpose of the Meeting: At this meeting, the Judicial Proceedings Panel will deliberate on the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013 (Public Law 112-239), as amended, Section 576(a)(2) requirement to conduct an independent review and assessment of judicial proceedings conducted under the Uniform Code of Military Justice involving adult sexual assault and related offenses since the amendments made to the Uniform Code of Military Justice by section 541 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (Public Law 112--81; 125 Stat. 1404), for the purpose of developing recommendations for improvements to such proceedings. At this meeting, the Panel may deliberate on any of the topics addressed in its meetings since August 2014, including Article 120 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, the Special Victims' Counsel Programs of the military Services, victim privacy issues in military sexual assault cases, and the rights and needs of sexual assault victims throughout the judicial process. The Panel is interested in written and oral comments from the public, including non-governmental organizations, relevant to its tasking and these topics. Oral presentations by members of the public will be permitted between 4:45 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on January 30, 2015 in front of the Panel.
