ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: This notice contains a summary of a petition seeking relief 
from specified requirements of Federal Aviation Regulations. The 
purpose of this notice is to improve the public's awareness of, and 
participation in, the FAA's exemption process. Neither publication of 
this notice nor the inclusion or omission of information in the summary 
is intended to affect the legal status of the petition or its final 
disposition.

Petition for Exemption

    Petitioner: John D. Odegard School of Aerospace of the University 
of North Dakota.
    Section(s) of 14 CFR Affected: Sec. Sec.  61.195(h)(2) and (3).
    Description of Relief Sought: The petitioner seeks relief to allow 
it to provide flight training for a first time flight instructor 
applicant with flight instructors that do not meet Sec.  61.195(h) but 
are qualified to provide training for an additional flight instructor 
rating.
