Janet Sansone

Chief Management Officer

As the Chief Management Officer (CMO) Janet Sansone oversees GPO’s support organizations that include: Human Capitol, Finance & Administration, Information Technology & Systems and Acquisitions. The CMO will focus on GPO employees and business processes.

Biography

Sansone brings more than 20 years of private sector experience in human resources, finance, manufacturing, security, safety, facilities, and transportation in the telecom and service industries. Prior to joining GPO in this newly created position, Sansone served as a consultant and held executive positions at several companies. Her experience also includes change leadership, union contract negotiations, implementation of human capital software, recruiting, and trustee fund financial oversight.

She spent 11 years at General Electric during the Jack Welch era holding several leadership positions. Sansone directed Management and Human Resources education at GE’s Management Development Institute. She transformed the role of Human Resource staff to business partner using the organization’s human capital as a strategic lever for competitive advantage.

Sansone also served as a Corporate Vice President for Human Resources at Frontier Corporation in Rochester, New York. She led the cultural and organizational change from a 700 million dollar company to a three billion dollar company through internal growth, acquisition assessment and integration. 

Sansone currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Rochester Institute of Technology, Turner Funds and the International Environmental Data Recovery. She holds a BA in Psychology from the College of New Rochelle and a MA in Organizational/Industrial Psychology from the University of New Haven.
