Biography
Shedd brings 30 years of expertise honed in the private sector and has held a number of top corporate financial positions prior to joining GPO in 2003 . A native Bostonian, he relocated to the Washington, D.C. area in 2001 to accept a position at Key Bridge Inc., a Reston, Virginia based start up company that was subsequently acquired.
While in Boston, Shedd was the Chief Financial Officer of several publicly traded and privately held companies in the technology sector including Century Electronics, a contract manufacturer and Proteon Inc., a computer network device manufacturer and software developer.
Shedd began his career at Coopers & Lybrand in Boston, which is now PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) while completing his graduate studies. He remained at PWC until 1980.
Shedd’s unique foundation brings extensive experience in technology manufacturing, software, and service companies to GPO, and he has participated in a significant number of merger and acquisitions transactions. Shedd holds a B.A. in Economics from Brandeis University and an M.B.A. from Boston University. |
