Public-Private Partnership Opportunity in Publication Sales/Publishing Services
On April 12, 2006, GPO released its Publication Sales/Publishing Services Request for Proposals (RFP) on FedBizOpps. The purpose of this RFP is to find “Authorized Representatives” that will represent GPO in offering Government products to the public through the following four components:

The Retail Marketing, Sale, Order Fulfillment, and Distribution of
Electronic and Electronically Derived Products and Services

The Offering of Expanded Publishing Services to Federal Publishing
Agencies

Component #4 - |
The Modernization of Business Systems Used by Depository Libraries
to Select Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) Materials and
Tangible Distribution Services for the FDLP, IES, and By-Law
Program

The goal is for vendors to propose, design, and execute new models for each of the components. Successful models will:
- Increase public awareness of these publications
- Expand distribution channels
- Utilize the latest technologies
- Achieve significant cost reductions
- Improve service to GPO’s customers & libraries
