    As did my predecessor, the distinguished former Speaker Carl 
Albert, I wish to express my continuing interest in the development and 
publication of these volumes, and my admiration for Lewis Deschler's 
invaluable contribution to the U.S. House of Representatives and to our 
enduring form of government.
