This notice announces EPA's progress in meeting its performance measures and goals for pesticide reregistration during 1998. The Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) requires EPA to publish this information annually. The notice discusses the integration of tolerance reassessment with the reregistration process, and describes the status of various regulatory activities associated with reregistration and tolerance reassessment. The notice gives total numbers of chemicals and products reregistered, tolerances reassessed, Data Call-Ins issued, and products registered under the ``fast-track'' provisions of FIFRA. Finally, this notice contains the schedule for completion of activities for specific high priority chemicals. DATES: This notice is not subject to a formal comment period. Nevertheless, EPA welcomes input from stakeholders and the general public. Written comments, identified by the docket number [OPP-34191], should be received on or before January 18, 2000.
