The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing its intention to accept and consider a single source application for the award of a cooperative agreement to the University of Mississippi (UM) to support the National Center for Natural Products Research (NCNPR), which is located on UM's Campus at Oxford, MS. FDA anticipates providing up to $1 million in fiscal year 2001 (direct and indirect costs) for this project, with an additional 4 years of funding up to $1 million per year predicated upon acceptable performance and the availability of future fiscal year funding. These collaborations will support and benefit the public health by promoting more efficient development and dissemination of natural products research and science and will complement the diverse activities of both the public and private sector that may become collaborators.
