Proposed rule.
The NMFS proposes to make available tissue specimen samples to the scientific community for research that is consistent with the goals of the National Marine Mammal Tissue Bank (NMMTB) and the Marine Mammal Health and Stranding Response Program (MMHSRP). The intent of this proposed rule is to allow the scientific community the opportunity to comment on the protocol for requests for tissue specimen samples from the NMMTB.
Comments must be received by 5 p.m. EST on December 12, 2002. Comments transmitted via e-mail will not be accepted.
