Johnson of Texas, and Mr. Dixon) introduced the following bill; which was referred jointly to the Committees on Education and Labor and the Judiciary _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To amend the Civil Rights Act of 1991 with respect to the application of such Act. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Justice for Wards Cove Workers Act''. SEC. 2. AMENDMENTS. Section 402 of the Civil Rights Act of 1991 is amended-- (1) in subsection (a) by striking ``(a) In General.--'', and (2) by striking subsection (b). SEC. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. The amendments made by section 2 shall take effect on the effective date of the Civil Rights Act of 1991. <all>
