Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Employer Notification Act of 1993''. SEC. 2. AMENDMENTS TO CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT. (a) In General.--The Controlled Substances Act is amended by adding at the end of part D the following: ``Notification of Employers ``Sec. 423. Upon the conviction of a person for an offense under this title or title III, the court shall notify the employer of such person of that conviction.''. (b) Clerical Amendment.--The table of contents of the Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act of 1970 is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 864 the following: ``Sec. 423. Notification of Employers.''. <all>
