 Mr. LaRocco introduced the following bill; which was referred to the

                                 A BILL


 
 For the relief of the heirs and assigns of Hattie Davis Rogers of the 
                  Nez Perce Indian Reservation, Idaho.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION. 1. PAYMENT.

    (a) In General.--The Secretary of the Treasury shall pay, out of 
any money in the United States Treasury that is not otherwise 
appropriated, the sum of $108,000 to the heirs and assigns of Hattie 
Davis Rogers who hold a title interest in Lot 1, Block 8 in Tolyaulkt's 
Addition to the Town of Fort Lapwai.
    (b) Distribution of Payments.--The money appropriated under 
subsection (a) shall be distributed to the heirs and assigns of Hattie 
Davis Rogers by the Northern Idaho Agency of the Bureau of Indian 
Affairs in accordance with the shares each of the heirs and assigns of 
Hattie Davis Rogers holds in Lot 1, Block 8 in Tolyaulkt's Addition to 
the Town of Fort Lapwai, Idaho.

SEC. 2. SATISFACTION OF CLAIMS.

    Acceptance of the payments made under section 1 by the heirs and 
assigns of Hattie Davis Rogers shall constitute full satisfaction of 
all claims of the estate of Hattie Davis Rogers, her heirs and assigns, 
against the United States arising out of the loss of the use of Lot 1, 
Block 8 in Tolyaulkt's Addition to the Town of Fort Lapwai, Idaho, that 
is located on the Nez Perce Indian Reservation in the State of Idaho 
and was the subject of Brooks against Nez Perce County, Idaho, et al., 
Civ. 2-72-27 (D. ID. 1983), as a result of the acts or omissions of the 
United States.
