Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. STATEMENT REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN GOVERNMENT PUBLICATIONS. Any consumer information publication that-- (1) is prepared by a department, agency, or other entity of the executive branch of the Government; and (2) is distributed without charge; shall contain a statement, prominently displayed on the cover or first page, as follows: ``The printing and distribution of this publication is financed by the taxpayers of the United States''. SEC. 2. DEFINITION. As used in this Act, the term ``consumer information publication'' means a publication distributed to the public for general educational and informational purposes. <all>
