Mr. Torkildsen introduced the following bill; which was referred to the

 To suspend until January 1, 1997, the duty on copper-8-quinolinolate.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. COPPER-8-QUINOLINOLATE.

    Subchapter II of chapter 99 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of 
the United States is amended by inserting in numerical sequence the 
following new heading:

      

       ``  9902.31.12  Copper-8-Quinolinolate 98% (CAS No. 10380-28-6) (provided                   No change        No change        On or before 12/   
                        for in subheading 2933.40.30)...........................  Free                                                31/96           ''

SEC. 2. APPLICABILITY.

    The amendment made by section 1 applies with respect to goods 
entered, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after the 
15th day after the date of the enactment of this Act.
