Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. EXEMPTION FROM LIMITATION ON INCURRED EXPENSES FOR MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES UNDER MEDICARE FOR MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES FURNISHED TO NURSING HOME RESIDENTS. (a) In General.--Section 1833(c) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395l(c)) is amended by inserting after ``hospital'' the following: ``or a resident of a nursing facility (as defined in section 1919(a))''. (b) Effective Date.--The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply to expenses for mental health services incurred in calendar years beginning with 1994. <all>
