  Mr. Owens introduced the following bill; which was referred to the 
                    Committee on Education and Labor

                                 A BILL


 
    To require the Bureau of Land Statistics to collect and report 
    unemployment and related statistics by congressional districts.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 4 of the 
Act of March 4, 1913 (29 U.S.C. 2), relating to the collection, 
collation, and reports of labor statistics, is amended by striking out 
``by such smaller geographical subdivisions'' and inserting in lieu 
thereof ``by congressional districts and such smaller geographical 
subdivisions''.
