   To authorize Escambia County, Florida, to convey certain lands in 
  Florida to a political subdivision of the State of Florida, and for 
                            other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. AUTHORIZATION OF CONVEYANCE TO POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF 
              STATE OF FLORIDA.

    Notwithstanding the Act of July 30, 1946 (60 Stat. 712, chapter 
699) that provides that the lands described in such Act may be conveyed 
by Escambia County, Florida, only by lease or to the Federal 
Government, the State of Florida, or an agency of the State of Florida, 
the lands described in such Act may be conveyed by Escambia County, 
Florida, to a political subdivision of the State of Florida.

SEC. 2. ACTIONS BY SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR.

    Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this 
Act, the Secretary of the Interior shall execute and file in the 
appropriate repository of public records a deed or other appropriate 
instrument, if any, that is necessary to document the authority of 
Escambia County, Florida, to convey real property in accordance with 
section 1.
