                                 A BILL


 
    To extend the temporary suspension of duty on fresh cantaloupes 
          imported between January 1 and May 15 of each year.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. CANTALOUPES.

    Subheading 9902.08.07 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the 
United States is amended by striking out ``12/31/92'' and inserting 
``12/31/94''.

SEC. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.

    The amendment made by the first section of this Act applies with 
respect to goods entered, released, or withdrawn for consumption after 
December 31, 1992.
