  To extend the existing suspension of duty on metal oxide varistors.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. EXTENSION OF EXISTING SUSPENSION OF DUTY.

    Heading 9902.85.33 (relating to metal oxide varistors) of the 
Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States is amended by striking 
``12/31/92'' and inserting ``12/31/97''.

SEC. 2. APPLICATION OF DUTY SUSPENSION.

    The amendment made by section 1 applies only to metal oxide 
varistors weighing less than 2.5 kilograms.

SEC. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.

    The amendment made by section 1 applies to goods entered, or 
withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, after December 31, 1992.
