  Mr. Shelby introduced the following joint resolution; which was read 
          twice and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

                            JOINT RESOLUTION


 
 To authorize the President to proclaim September 1994 as ``Classical 
                             Music Month''.

    Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United 
States of America in Congress assembled, That the President is hereby 
authorized and requested to issue a proclamation designating September 
1994 as ``Classical Music Month'' and calling upon the people of the 
United States to observe such a month with appropriate ceremonies and 
activities.
