Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Zika Immunization Plan Act'' or as the ``ZIP Act''. SEC. 2. RESEARCH CREDIT FOR DEVELOPMENT OF ZIKA VIRUS VACCINE. (a) In General.--Section 41(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by striking ``and'' at the end of paragraph (2), by striking the period at the end of paragraph (3) and inserting ``, and'' and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: ``(4) 10 percent of so much of the qualified research expenses for the taxable year as relate to the development of a vaccine for the Zika virus which is intended for use in humans.''. (b) Effective Date.--The amendments made by this section shall apply to taxable years ending after the date of the enactment of this Act. <all>
