THOMAS H. ALLEN of maine in the house of representatives Tuesday, April 15, 2008 Mr. ALLEN. Madam Speaker, on April 14, 2008, I was unavoidably absent from the House due to a family illness. If I had been present, I would have voted ``yes'' on rollcall vote No. 183, a motion by Mr. Ellsworth of Indiana to suspend the rules and agree to the passage of H. Res. 886, a resolution expressing sympathy to the victims and families of the tragic acts of violence in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Arvada, Colorado. I would have also voted ``yes'' on rollcall vote No. 184, a motion by Mr. Davis of Illinois to suspend the rules and agree to the passage of H. Res. 994, a resolution expressing support for designation of a National Glanzmann's Thrombasthenia Awareness Day. I would have also voted ``yes'' on rollcall vote No. 185, a motion by Mr. Braley of Iowa to suspend the rules and agree to the passage of H.R. 3548, the Plain Language in Government Communications Act of 2007.
