STEPHANIE HERSETH SANDLIN of south dakota in the house of representatives Thursday, January 8, 2009 Ms. HERSETH SANDLIN. Madam Speaker, I regret that I was unable to participate in two votes on the floor of the House of Representatives on January 7, 2009. The first vote was H.R. 35, to amend chapter 22 of title 44, United States Code, popularly known as the Presidential Records Act, to establish procedures for the consideration of claims of constitutionally based privilege against disclosure of Presidential records. Had I been present, I would have voted yea on that question. The second vote was H.R. 36, to amend title 44, United States Code, to require information on contributors to Presidential library fundraising organizations. Had I been present, I would have voted yea on that question. ____________________
