                       Thursday, January 8, 2009

Ms. HERSETH SANDLIN. Madam Speaker, I regret that I was unable to
participate in two votes on the floor of the House of Representatives
on January 7, 2009.
The first vote was H.R. 35, to amend chapter 22 of title 44, United
States Code, popularly known as the Presidential Records Act, to
establish procedures for the consideration of claims of
constitutionally based privilege against disclosure of Presidential
records. Had I been present, I would have voted yea on that question.
The second vote was H.R. 36, to amend title 44, United States Code,
to require information on contributors to Presidential library
fundraising organizations. Had I been present, I would have voted yea
on that question.
