  The following communications were laid before the Senate, together

       EC-6617. A communication from the Acting Assistant 
     Director, Directives and Regulations Branch, Department of 
     Agriculture, transmitting, pursuant to law, the report of a 
     rule entitled ``Clarifying Prohibitions for Failure to 
     Maintain Control of Fires That Damage National Forest System 
     Lands'' (RIN0596-AC30) received on June 17 , 2008; to the 
     Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry.
       EC-6618. A communication from the General Counsel, National 
     Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Department of

     Office of Legislative Affairs, Department of State, 
     transmitting, pursuant to law , a report by the U.S. Global 
     AIDS Coordinator on the Involvement of Faith-Based 
     Organizations in the Global Fund to Fight AIDS; to the 
     Committee on Foreign Relations.

     transmitting, pursuant to law , a semi-annual report relative 
     to the compliance of several countries with the freedom of
