       SECTION 132 OF THE LEGISLATIVE REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1946

    The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration 
House Resolution 266, by a nonrecord vote, report the same to 
the House with the recommendation that the resolution be 
adopted.

                  SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS OF RESOLUTION

    The resolution provides for the consideration of a 
concurrent resolution waiving the requirement in section 132 of 
the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 that Congress 
adjourn sine die not later than July 31, 1999. The rule 
provides that the concurrent resolution shall be considered as 
read and shall not be debatable. All points of order against 
the concurrent resolution are waived.
