IntroductionIn recent years the Department of Commerce (DOC) has organized and managed the USA National Pavilion at the Paris Air Show with its permanent staff and relied upon others commissioned by the DOC to perform certain other well-defined tasks. We are currently evaluating the full range of options for funding and operating the USA National Pavilion in the future. Specifically, we are interested in determining the best allocation of tasks, as laid out in question 2, involved in sponsoring the Pavilion between our staff and other sources. Our purpose is to determine your views on the appropriate role, if any, of the U.S. Government in the USA National Pavilion. We are interested in your opinions and ideas on how tasks should be divided between DOC staff and others commissioned by the DOC. Answers to the following questions will help produce a set of options and recommendations that will be presented to senior management of the International Trade Administration (ITA) of the DOC. The decisions of International Trade Administration management will affect the role of DOC in future Paris Air Shows. All answers to the evaluation will be kept strictly confidential.
