ACTION: Notice of reorganization of the NASA Advisory Council and related committees. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: Pursuant to section 14(b)(1) of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, Public Law 92-463, and after consultation with the Committee Management Secretariat, General Services Administration, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration has determined that a reorganization of the committees of the NASA Advisory Council is in the public interest in connection with the performance of duties imposed upon NASA by law. As a result of this reorganization, (1) the NASA Advisory Council History Advisory Committee has been abolished; (2) the NASA-NIH (National Institutes of Health) Advisory Committee on Biomedical and Behavioral Research has been established as a standing committee of the NASA Advisory Council; and (3) the NASA Advisory Council Space Station Advisory Committee has been renamed and rechartered as the Advisory Committee on the International Space Station, also a standing committee of the NASA Advisory Council. The following committees remain in place:NASA Advisory Council. Aeronautics Advisory Committee. Life and Microgravity Sciences and Applications Advisory Committee. Space Science Advisory Committee. Minority Business Resource Advisory Committee. Technology and Commercialization Advisory Committee. Earth System Science and Applications Advisory Committee.
