Date and Time: Thursday, April 21, 1994, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Place: Sheraton Washington Hotel, The Nathan Hale Room, 2660 Woodley Road NW., Washington, DC 20008. SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Purpose of the Task Force: The Secretary of Energy Advisory Board Task Force on Alternative Futures of the DOE National Laboratories was established to serve as the Secretary of Energy's primary mechanism for examining options for change within the laboratories and proposing specific alternatives for directing the scientific and engineering resources of the laboratories toward the economic, environmental, defense, scientific and energy needs of the Nation. The Task Force was established under the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board Charter and consists of 21 members, including Board members and outside experts. The Task Force is expected to report in February 1995. Public Participation: The Task Force welcomes the public's input and written representations. If business permits, members of the public may be heard in the order in which their requests are received and the five minute rule will ordinarily apply. The Task Force will make every effort to hear the view of interested parties. Written comments received by Monday, April 18, 1994, will be made available to Task Force members prior to the meeting.
