Special Emphasis Panel in Materials Research; Meeting

    In accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (Pub. L. 92-
463 as amended), the National Science Foundation announces the 
following meetings:

    Name: Special Emphasis Panel in Materials Research (DMR).
    Dates, and Times: May 15, 1994, 7 pm-9 pm; May 16 and 17, 1994, 
8 am-8 pm; May 18, 1994, 8 am-1 pm.
    Place: National Science Foundation, 4201 Wilson Boulevard, 
Arlington, VA 22230; Rooms 330 (May 15 only), 310, and 365.
    Type of Meetings: Closed.
    Contact Person: Dr. W. Lance Haworth, Program Director, 
Materials Research Science and Engineering Centers, Division of 
Materials Research, room 1065, National Science Foundation, 4201 
Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22230. Telephone (703) 306-1815.
    Purpose of Meetings: To provide advice and recommendations 
concerning proposals submitted to NSF for financial support by the 
Materials Research Science and Engineering Centers Program.
    Agenda: Review and evaluate proposals as part of the selection 
process for subsequent awards. Includes presentation by, and 
discussion with, key participants in proposals previously selected 
as finalists.
    Reason for Closing: The proposals being reviewed may include 
information of a proprietary or confidential nature, including 
technical information, financial data such as salaries, and personal 
information concerning individuals associated with the proposals. 
These matters are exempt under 5 U.S.C. 552b.(c) (4) and (6) of the 
Government in the Sunshine Act.
