Sea Grant Review Panel Meeting

AGENCY: National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of open meeting.

SUMMARY: This notice sets forth the schedule and proposed agenda of a 
forthcoming meeting of the Sea Grant Review Panel. The meeting will 
have several purposes. Panel members will provide and discuss follow-up 
reports of business transacted at the last Sea Grant Review Panel 
meeting in the areas of management and organization, budget status, 
strategic and tactical issues, law and policy, new technology and 
research, economic development, outreach for enhancement of Department 
of Commerce goals, and new business.

DATES: The announced meeting is scheduled during 2 days: Tuesday, May 
24, 1994, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday, May 25, 1994, 8 a.m. to 
4:45 p.m.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Panel, which consists of balanced 
representation from academia, industry, state government, and citizens 
groups, was established in 1976 by Section 209 of the Sea Grant 
Improvement Act (Pub. L. 94-461, 33 U.S.C. 1128) and advises the 
Secretary of Commerce, the Under Secretary for Oceans and Atmosphere, 
also the Administrator of NOAA, and the Director of the National Sea 
Grant College Program with respect to operations under the act, and 
such other matters as the Secretary refers to the Panel for review and 
advice. The agenda for the meeting is:
