    New Collection: Collection of Information Regarding Timing of 
Registrant Mailings of Proxy Material File No. 270-391.
    Notice is hereby given pursuant to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 
1980 (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.), that the Securities and Exchange 
Commission (``Commission'') has requested approval to collect 
information from approximately 100 registrants concerning the timing of 
their mailings of proxy material during the 1994 proxy season.
    The staff estimates that the information collection will result in 
approximately .25 burden hours per response for a total burden of 25 
hours.
    General comments regarding the estimated burden hours should be 
directed to Gary Waxman at the address below. Any comments concerning 
the accuracy of the estimated average burden hours for compliance with 
Commission rules and forms should be directed to John J. Lane,
