ACTION: Notice of public hearing on planning report/draft environmental statement (PR/DES); INT-DES-94-51. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended, the Bureau of Reclamation has prepared a planning report/draft environmental statement (PR/DES) on a proposed project to improve fish passage at Savage Rapids Dam located on the Rogue River in southwest Oregon near the city of Grants Pass. A public hearing will be held to receive comments from interested organizations and individuals on the environmental impacts of the project. DATES: The public hearing is scheduled from 1:30-10:00 p.m. with a break from 5:00-6:30 p.m. on February 16, 1995 in Grants Pass, Oregon. ADDRESSES: The hearing will be held at: Josephine County Fairgrounds, Redwood Highway, 1451 Fairgrounds Road, Colonial Bank Floral Exhibit Building, Grants Pass, Oregon. Requests for scheduled presentations will be accepted through February 10, 1995. Oral comments at the hearing will be limited to 5 minutes. The hearing officer may allow any speaker to provide additional oral comments after all persons wishing to comment have been heard. Whenever possible, speakers will be scheduled according to the time preference (afternoon or evening) mentioned in their letter or telephone requests. Speakers not present when called will lose their privilege in the scheduled order and will be recalled at the end of the scheduled speakers. Written comments from those unable to attend or those wishing to supplement their oral presentations at the hearing should be received by Reclamation's Pacific Northwest Regional Office at the above address by February 27, 1995, for inclusion in the hearing record.
