(``the Act''), E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (``E.I. du Pont'') have filed written notifications simultaneously with the Federal Trade Commission disclosing (1) the identities of the parties and (2) the nature of objectives of a cooperative arrangement known as the ``Collaboration for Development of a Manufacturing Competency for High Performance Composites for Civil Infrastructure Applications.'' The notifications were filed for the purpose of invoking the Act's provisions limiting the recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to actual damages under specified circumstances. Pursuant to Section 6(b) of the Act, the identities of the parties are: E.I. du Pont, Newark, DE; Hardcore Du Pont Composites L.L.C., New Castle, DE; The Dow Chemical Company, Freeport, TX; Brunswick Technologies, Inc., Brunswick, ME; and Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. The purpose of the cooperative arrangement is to develop a manufacturing competency for large composite structures based on resin infusion technology focusing on commercial applications for the civil infrastructure market.
