Manufacturer of Controlled Substances; Notice of Application

    Pursuant to Section 1301.43(a) of Title 21 of the Code of Federal 
Regulations (CFR), this is notice that on July 17, 1995, Celgene 
Corporation, 7 Powder Horn Drive, Warren, New Jersey 07059, made 
application to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for 
registration as a bulk manufacturer of the basic classes of controlled 
substances listed below:

    The firm plans to manufacturer small quantities of 2,5-
Dimethoxyamphetamine using biocatalysis to develop, manufacture and 
sell high value added compounds to pharmaceutical and agrochemical 
industries and Amphetamine for distribution of the bulk active 
substance to its customers.
    Any other such applicant and any person who is presently registered 
with DEA to manufacturer such substances may file comments or 
objections to the issuance of the above application.
    Any such comments or objections may be addressed to the Deputy 
Assistant Administrator, Office of Diversion Control, Drug Enforcement 
Administration, United States Department of Justice, Washington, D.C. 
20537, Attention: DEA Federal Register Representative (CCR), and must 
be filed no later than October 30, 1995.
