The Fresh Produce Subcommittee will meet on Monday, October 16 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The full Committee will meet in Room 800 of the Hubert Humphrey Building, Department of Health and Human Services, Independence Ave., SW, Washington, DC 20204 on Tuesday, October 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and on Thursday, October 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Other Subcommittees will meet on Tuesday, October 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, October 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The NACMCF provides advice and recommendations to the Secretaries of Agriculture, and Health and Human Services concerning the development of microbiological criteria by which the [[Page 51981]] safety and wholesomeness of food can be assessed, including criteria pertaining to microorganisms that indicate whether food has been processed using good manufacturing processes. The meeting will include discussion of the following topics as time permits: I. Role of the Food Safety and Inspection Service in Eggs and Egg Products Food Safety II. FSIS Emergency Programs III. HACCP Issues in Codex Alimentarius IV. Collaborative Efforts and Sentinel Sites V. New FDA Seafood Regulations VI. FDA HACCP Pilot Projects VII. Reports from Chairs of the Subcommittees VIII. Meetings of the Subcommittees IX. Public Comments The NACMCF meeting is open to the public on a space available basis.
