Abstract: Information is obtained from State and local governments to enable the Federal Insurance Administrator to determine whether a State's application meets the requirements for an exemption pursuant to section 102(c) of the Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973. Under the Act, the FIA may grant a State having an adequate policy of self- insurance for its state-owned structures an exemption from the insurance purchase requirements of the Act. FEMA implements the provisions of the Act through its regulation published at 44 CFR section 75.11-12. Type of Respondents: State and local governments. Estimate of Total Annual Reporting and Recordkeeping Burden: 100 hours. Number of Respondents: 20. Estimated Average Burden Time per Response: 5 hours.
