COMMENTS: Comments are invited on (a) whether the proposed data collection is necessary for the proper performance of the agency, including whether the information shall have practical utility; (b) the accuracy of the burden estimate; ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information to be collected; and ways to minimize the burden of the data collection on those who are to respond, including through the use of automated collection techniques or other forms of information technology. Abstract: States may apply for Federal funding of hazard mitigation measures following a Federal declaration of a major disaster or emergency. States, local governments, and private non-profit organizations that are the recipients of the grant funds must meet the application requirements of FEMA regulation 44 CFR Part 206, Subpart N. Type of Respondents: State and local governments and not-for-profit institutions. Estimate of Total Annual Reporting and Recordkeeping Burden: 4,000 hours. Number of Respondents: Average of 20 States with an estimated 10 project applications each. Estimated Average Burden Time per Response: 20 hours. Frequency of Response: Other.
